Open Question: If i rent my sole property do i need a buy to let mortgage?if not what is the best interest only mortgage?

im planning to live abroad for a while,hoping at least 1 year but want to know the best option for renting my flat in london.my current fixed rate mortgage ends at the end of june so i need some advice as i wanted an interest only no tie in's mortgage but most lenders require a saving vehicle on I.O which i cannot do as i will not be working while away.Brokers come back with interest only mortgages with 2500 fee's.

Open Question: What is fully involved in building a house?

We are trying to decide what makes more sense, building or buying. We want to how does it work. Do we get a mortgage? Is it one loan to cover all costs? Is it less money? Is buying the land costly? Any information is appreciated. We need to know everything from the first step to the last.
